How to find Dofus materials and compare drop sources
Material sources starts with the item you need. Choose it to compare monsters, gathering skills, recipes and quest rewards. The workshop opens this page with the exact missing quantity, so you can investigate a source without changing your crafting queue or owned materials.
Open Ash Wood sources with four logs still needed to compare gathering and monster sources.

Which source should you choose?
Compare the route to each source before choosing where to go. A recipe shows its ingredients and profession; a gathering source leads to the relevant skill. Monster sources show their locations and, where known, base drop rates for each grade. Those base rates are not a promise about the next fight.
For example,
Ash Wood has a gathering source through
Chop. Look for gathering or crafting alternatives before
relying on a low-chance monster drop.
Compare a bag drop from two monsters
Bag of Aubergines is listed on
Gobball War Chief at a 1% base rate for each
grade.
Gobballyhoo the Noisy lists 2%.
Open the two-success example.
With ten identical rolls, the chance of two or more successes is about 0.4266% at 1%, or 1.6178% at 2%. This is a comparison of repeated drop rolls, not a prediction of how many fights or minutes you need. It does not add prospecting, challenge bonuses or rolls from other characters.
One success is not the whole missing quantity
At 1% over ten rolls, the chance of at least one success is about 9.5618%. The chance of at least two is only 0.4266%. Keep At least this many successes selected when comparing the number entered under Still needed. The alternate one-success mode answers a different question.
With zero rolls the result is zero. A target above the number of rolls is also impossible in this one-success-per-roll scenario. The tool never uses a drop's internal count field as the quantity awarded after a fight.

Why some sources have no calculated chance
GM Wabbit Blood is a conditional drop from
GM Wabbit. Follow the relevant quest and item
requirements instead of treating its listed rate as unconditional.
Amber shows an 8% base rate for the first
Treechnid grade and 48% for the others. Additional
rules affect that drop, so these entries are not used to predict a final
chance. The source and grade information remain useful even when the
calculation is unavailable.
A missing source is not proof that an item is unobtainable. Open its item page for connected quests, uses and recipes rather than assuming a location.

Return to the same crafting plan
Choose Workshop to return to the existing queue. Investigating a source does not deduct stock, add targets or replace recipe choices. The crafting guide explains how shared materials are counted across several targets.
A copied source link carries the item, target quantity and selected scenario. It does not contain your workshop's owned stock or account details. Dofus 2 has its own material sources; the examples above use Dofus 3.
