While this clan's name obviously refers to the colour black right there in the title, it's more a symbolic label than a fashion requirement. There are no official restrictions on the colours of mercenaries' uniforms, which may be surprising at first. Now, if you do happen to run into a knight in black armour, you'll know you're face to face with the genuine Darkness Knight... Which probably doesn't bode well for your life expectancy!
