Sorond's Ambition

In his madness, Sorond even attempted to corrupt the leaders of the Katiay Clan, the clan to lead all clans, by whatever means he could think of: lies, flattery, bribes, and even some eyebrow-raising sexual favours. But he had underestimated Shask and Midul, the eternal and incorruptible rulers, who saw right through his schemes and banned him from the tournament for many years. He would return much later, more powerful and conniving than ever, before the brave Hobbitiays finally put a stop to his madness.
