Material sources and drop rates
Compare a material’s sources before choosing where to collect it. Gathering, crafting, quest rewards and monster drops can offer different routes to the same item.
Gathering
A base drop rate belongs to a monster and grade. Check drop conditions as well: a quest or another restriction can affect availability. A base rate is not a guaranteed number of fights or a farming time.

Sources| Monster | Grade | Level | Base drop rate |
|---|---|---|---|
 Gobball | 1 | 22 | 1% |
 Royal Gobball | 1 | 30 | 3% |
Scenario: independent trials
For independent trials with the same probability p, the chance of at least one success after n trials is 1 − (1 − p)ⁿ. This scenario does not calculate prospecting, challenge bonuses, loot conditions or allocation between characters.
