This device was invented by a Foggernaut engineer so he could find out if the soup wasn't too hot, and thereby avoid burning his tongue. He had named it "Thermal Meet Her", but that didn't mean anything, and nobody understood what it was used for. It ended up being called "Climate Measurement Device" for greater clarity.
