The Jiangshi-Nobi are a unique warrior caste within the Ghost Samurais. Indeed, the mummies they carry on their backs are in fact their former bodies, and the bodies you can see are projections of their souls. Keeping their remains in this way lets them keep part of their identity and power of old.
